Walks and hikes in the vineyards in Alsace

    I suggest you take a walk from the small winegrowers' village of Saint-Hyppolite to the so-called "monkey" mountain, which is an open-air zoo where many families of monkeys delight the public.

    You can book a guest room with two neighboring winegrowers, the Fahrer estate or the Müller-koeberlé estate, who will also offer you a tasting of their original cuvées, including several "Saint-Hyppolite reds".

    The walk starts from the center of the town, near the basin and winds through the vineyards to finish up the famous mountain, you will thus have the opportunity to pass near the fountain of the Grand Cru Praelatenberg.

    Count about 1h30 to go, taking your time.

    Another possible walk from the same village will take you to the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle, after about 500 meters of elevation...
